Intern/Apprentice Program

The Festival offers one of the most effective professional theatre training programs for high school and college students in the region. Our Intern/Apprentice program nurtures the next generation of theater artists by giving young people a real-world, hands-on experience in the professional theater that includes production, education, and management.  Annually, the Festival employs between 15-20 college and high school students from area educational institutions who gain invaluable experience working at a variety of behind-the-scenes positions in the areas of stage management, costumes, lighting, and scenic design and construction.  Interns also assist as education interns for the Camp Shakespeare program, and provide critical administrative support to the Festival.  If you call the Festival office during the summer, it is likely an intern will answer!

Internships offered in the following areas:
Stage Management
Lighting
Costumes
Education
Arts Administration
