POSTER AND SONNET CONTESTS
WHO CAN ENTER?
• All Kansas and Missouri students Grades 4-12 are eligible.
YOUTH POSTER SPECIFICATIONS
THEME
• Poster MUST be designed based on the 2013 Festival's production of As You Like It
(Note: Posters not designed with this theme will be disqualified.)
SIZE
• No smaller than 8 ½” x 11”
• No larger than 14” x 17”
• Posters should be mounted on firm poster board or foam board no larger than 18” x 21”
MEDIUM
• Computer-generated artwork
OR
• Original artwork (watercolor, marker, pencil, crayon, acrylic, etc.)
IDENTIFICATION
• Write student's initials and birth date on back of the poster.
Please do NOT include name or school.
DIVISIONS/AWARDS
• Two grade divisions and two categories for Poster judging:
Group I - Grades 4 – 8
A - Computer-Generated
B - Original Art Work
Group II - Grades 9– 12
A - Computer-Generated
B - Original Art Work
(Computer-generated artwork will be judged separately from original artwork)
Contest Deadline: March 1, 2013
SONNET SPECIFICATIONS
WHO CAN ENTER?
• All Kansas and Missouri students Grades 4-12 are eligible as well as adults.
SONNET SPECIFICATION
• Submit your sonnet (typewritten or clearly written in ink) on one side of a single 8 ½ x 11” sheet of paper
• Write student's initials and birth date on back of the sonnet.
Please do NOT include name or school
• Two grade divisions for Sonnet judging as well as an adult category:
Group I - Grades 4 - 8
Group II - Grades 9 – 12
