Nathan Darrow
(Romeo)

Nathan Darrow is honored to be working on this truly timeless and transformational play.  Previous work at HASF includes Much Ado About Nothing and last summer's King Henry V.  A Kansas City native, Nathan was seen most recently in Iron Kisses at the Unicorn where he has also appeared in ThePillowman, Painted Alice, The Retreat From Moscow, and Bright Ideas.  New Theatre audiences saw him last fall/winter as Leo/Maxine in Leading Ladies.  He has played professionally at the American Heartland Theatre, The Roundabout, Berkley Repertory Theatre, and Madison Rep. Nathan is a graduate of the University of Evansville and NYU.  

 

Jessiee Datino
(Juliet)

Jessiee Datino is proud to be making her Heart of America Shakespeare Festival debut in Romeo and Juliet.  She was most recently seen as Belle in Kansas City Rep's A Christmas Carol and Sally in Kansas City Actors Theatre Talley's Folly and Talley and Son. She earned her B.A. in theatre from the University of Northern Colorado where some of her favorite credits include; The Children's Hour, Biloxi Blues, and The Laramie Project.

 

Martin English
(Montague, Fr. John)

Martin played Sebastian in the inaugural production of HASF, The Tempest, and appeared as Exeter last summer in King Henry V.  His previous Shakespearean encounters include Antipholus in Comedy of Errors and Sir Walter Herbert in King Richard III at Kansas City Repertory Theatre and various roles in The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (Abridged) at the American Heartland Theatre.  His other favorite roles include Eugene in Affluenza, the Old Man in A Christmas Story, and Jonathan Harker in Dracula.  Offstage, Martin is the Executive Director at Accessible Arts, Inc. where he champions the arts for children with disabilities.
